The judiciary has rejected pardoning me from the remaining prison term!
In the past, i have reported in my weblog " Panjereh Eltehab" that; probably the judiciary power won't agree with my request pardoning me from the rest of my prison term and now this become a reality.
Few days ago, i have attended to the pardoning commission in Tehran's justice department to follow up the letter written by the " Association of Journalists " to the head of judiciary power requesting for an end to my remaining prison term. After a year of delay and stalling, they have told me that: " the request for pardoning you from the rest of your prison term has been rejected" , and what an interesting scene that i coulld see the drug dealers , respected swindlers and others easily using their 2nd and 3rd pardoning ! Vive liberty !
Backgrounder:
Arash Sigarchi is a journalist and blogger who was the managing editor of local " Gilan Emrooz " newspaper. In 2003 with a complaint from the Ministry of Information in Gilan he was sentenced to 14 years in prison and later the appeal court reduced the sentence to 3 years . Arash spent 16 months in " Lakan " prison located in the city of Rasht but, because of diagnosis with cancer, the doctor's recomended the sentencing to end and Arash was allowed to leav the prison for treatment. After a successful operation , Arash was doing his recuperation when found out that the judiciary power rejected pardoning him from the remaining prison term.
Is Arash who is recuperating of cancer going to be called back to the prison by the Islamic Republic's judiciary power ? This would be the most inhuman things to do.
